Hello, my name is Erika Balcazar, and I am a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) here at Smiles. I am currently in my second year both as an SLPA and with Smiles. I truly enjoy supporting individuals of all ages as they work toward their communication goals. Helping members feel confident in their voice and in their everyday interactions is something I am very passionate about. I value connection and positivity both at work and at home, and I strive to bring that energy into everything I do.
A little about me—I was born in Chicago and moved to Arizona when I was 10 years old. I met my husband in high school, and we have been together for nearly 15 years. We have three beautiful children and a dog named Oso. In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book and spending quality time with my family and friends.
