Keegan Keyes

COTA/L

Hello, my name is Keegan. I am an OTA and feeding therapist at Smiles. During my time as a student in the Pima Medical OTA program, I completed a clinical rotation at Smiles, where I developed a strong connection to the clinic’s culture and the individuals it serves. This experience ultimately led me to return to Smiles following graduation.

I grew up participating in sports, and after sustaining an injury that required extensive time in therapy clinics, I gained firsthand insight into the meaningful impact therapists can have on individuals’ functional outcomes and quality of life. Combined with my prior experiences working with individuals with special needs throughout my education, this shaped my passion for occupational therapy and reinforced my commitment to supporting individuals in achieving greater independence in their daily lives.

Outside of Smiles my interests include sports (particularly baseball), music, cooking, and art. I frequently incorporate these interests into therapy sessions to promote engagement, support client centered care, and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
